Healthline Bodymaps is an interactive 3D human body maps online.The application is useful not only for med. students, teachers, but everyone who wants to learn more about the human body.

Browse through Bodymaps by clicking through the specific parts of the body. You can view each body through different layers or drag the slider to view it from a 360 degree angle. Mouse-over on the map then click to view a pop-up information box about a specific component of the body. You can also choose between a male and female body map so you can find variations.

If you are particularly interested about a certain symptom you may be having, go to the symptom search engine on the right sidebar. The symptom search engine, paired with the body map, will help you better understand what you are feeling now and what the next steps are to treat your symptoms.

This app is also useful as a learning tool for kids to visualize the human body.

Typeset Style Generator is a browser based web tool presented by SciWeavers. The idea behind the tool is to help you obtain the typeset you want. You start by entering the sample text that you want to view in the preview thumbnails. Next you can modify a bunch of options; these include the background and text colors, font face and size, and shadows for the text and border.

You can also modify the options for the rounded corners. All the options you change are updated in real-time and shown in the many preview thumbnails located under the controls.

i2Type is a free online international onscreen keyboard that enables you to engage with internet or touch-screen computers in your native language i.e., write email, send tweet, post to facebook, reply to comments, etc. 

i2Type supports all world languages. When you select your language, you can display invisible characters by pressing either Caps Lock, Shift, Ctrl + Alt, or Ctrl + Alt + Shift. With a click of a button, you can copy what you typed to your clipboard, post it to major social networks i.e., Twitter, Facebook, or use it to query major websites i.e., Google, Bing, YouTube, Wikipedia, and Flicker. 

To search/post other websites than those provided, just copy your typed text to clipboard using the blue button then paste it to the desired website.

Simplebooklet is a simple service that lets you create interactive presentations, in which, for each of your pages, you can add content from simple text to integrated throughhtml from other websites, through videos and Web sites can combine different types of content on one page, adapting different elements.

MathTV is a videos of math problems being solved and explained online and MathTV aims to give you at least some of this benefit via the power of online video. Find a problem similar to the one you’re trying to solve and you can watch your choice of online instructor solve and explain it. Most of the instructors work in English, but you will find a few in Spanish as well.

There are five main categories of problems: basic mathematics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus. Click a category and you’ll see it broken down into sub-categories, each of which contains many different equations you can watch being solved. There are six different instructors, and every equation seems to have at least two instructors explaining it, so there’s always another perspective to watch if the first one didn’t quite explain everything for you.

In 1770, botanist John Ellis published the first description of 'a new sensitive plant,' called Dionaea muscipula, or Venus flytrap.

Its leaf snaps shut in about half a second when an insect is lured to its bright red surface. Spikes protruding from the edges of the leaf form a narrow cage for the insect. The leaf swells to close the gap and secretes a fluid that digests the insect in about ten days. Then the leaf grows a little and opens up, ready for the next visitor.

Now, the origin of the voracious Venus flytrap has been uncovered. The flytrap, and one other carnivorous snap-trap plant which grows underwater, evolved from a more conventional relative that had sticky leaves.

Over time, the plants added elaborate structures and weapons such as trigger hairs and teeth to trap and immobilise their meaty prey, botanists say. Ultimately, the need to hunt and eat ever larger animals drove the plants' evolution, say the scientists.
